Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CLEC16A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CLEC16A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CLEC16A mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CLEC16A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where CLEC16A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
