Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CLDN5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CLDN5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher CLDN5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CLDN5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LIHC, SARC, and UCEC are the cancer types where CLDN5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
