Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CLDN4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CLDN4 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CLDN4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CLDN4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, SARC, and SKCM are the cancer types where CLDN4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
