Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CLDN1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CLDN1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher CLDN1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CLDN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where CLDN1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
