Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CKS1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 17 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CKS1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where CKS1B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CKS1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, HNSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where CKS1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
