Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CKB RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CKB data layer compared with 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher CKB RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CKB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and SCLC show a favorable association.
KIRP, THCA, and SCLC are the cancer types where CKB RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
