Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CKAP2P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CKAP2P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where CKAP2P1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CKAP2P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, READ, and THCA are the cancer types where CKAP2P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
