Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CIP2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CIP2A data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher CIP2A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CIP2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA, CESC, and SKCM are the cancer types where CIP2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
