Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CIAO2B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CIAO2B data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher CIAO2B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CIAO2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and HNSC show a favorable association.

PDAC, LSCC, and GBM are the cancer types where CIAO2B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
