Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHTOP Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CHTOP data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher CHTOP Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHTOP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM and UCEC are the cancer types where CHTOP Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
