Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHST8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CHST8 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher CHST8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHST8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
BLCA, SKCM, and LIHC are the cancer types where CHST8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
