Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHRFAM7A RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CHRFAM7A data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher CHRFAM7A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHRFAM7A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and CESC show a favorable association.
STAD, ACC, and KIRP are the cancer types where CHRFAM7A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
