Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHCHD5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CHCHD5 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where higher CHCHD5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHCHD5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.

PRAD and SKCM are the cancer types where CHCHD5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
