Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CGAS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CGAS data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher CGAS Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CGAS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
BLCA and LGG are the cancer types where CGAS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
