Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CFI mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CFI data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher CFI mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CFI expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and OV show a favorable association.

LUAD, UCEC, and PDAC are the cancer types where CFI mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
