Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CELA2B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CELA2B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where CELA2B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CELA2B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, KICH, and LUSC are the cancer types where CELA2B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
