Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CDKN2A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CDKN2A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher CDKN2A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CDKN2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

PDAC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where CDKN2A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
