Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CD5L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CD5L data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher CD5L mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CD5L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and CCRCC show a favorable association.

PDAC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where CD5L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
