Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CD33 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CD33 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher CD33 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CD33 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BLCA show a favorable association.
LUSC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where CD33 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
