Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCT8L2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CCT8L2 data layer compared with 13 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher CCT8L2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CCT8L2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SARC and LGG show a favorable association.
SKCM, BLCA, and THCA are the cancer types where CCT8L2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
