Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCNJ RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CCNJ’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where CCNJ RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CCNJ is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, HNSC, and STAD are the cancer types where CCNJ tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
