Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCDC9B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CCDC9B data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher CCDC9B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CCDC9B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where CCDC9B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
