Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCDC62 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CCDC62’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where CCDC62 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CCDC62 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, CHOL, and BRCA are the cancer types where CCDC62 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
