Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCDC58P5 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CCDC58P5’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where CCDC58P5 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CCDC58P5 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, STAD, and THCA are the cancer types where CCDC58P5 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
