Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CCDC47 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CCDC47’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where CCDC47 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CCDC47 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where CCDC47 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
