Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CC2D1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CC2D1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where CC2D1B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CC2D1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, LIHC, and BLCA are the cancer types where CC2D1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
