Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CBX1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CBX1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher CBX1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CBX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where CBX1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
