Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CASTOR3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CASTOR3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher CASTOR3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CASTOR3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA show a favorable association.
KIRP, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where CASTOR3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
