Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CASP8AP2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CASP8AP2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher CASP8AP2 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CASP8AP2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.

LSCC, PDAC, and LUAD are the cancer types where CASP8AP2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
