Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CASP14 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CASP14 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher CASP14 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CASP14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC and SKCM are the cancer types where CASP14 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
