Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CAP1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CAP1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CAP1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CAP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, SCLC, and SKCM are the cancer types where CAP1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
