Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CACNA1E RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CACNA1E data layer compared with 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher CACNA1E RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CACNA1E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and HNSC show a favorable association.
KIRC, ACC, and UVM are the cancer types where CACNA1E RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
