Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CA5B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CA5B data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher CA5B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CA5B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC are the cancer types where CA5B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
