Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C9orf64 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C9orf64 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher C9orf64 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C9orf64 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
KICH, LIHC, and LUSC are the cancer types where C9orf64 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
