Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C9orf50 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C9orf50 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher C9orf50 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C9orf50 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as DLBC and THCA show a favorable association.
UVM, ACC, and DLBC are the cancer types where C9orf50 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
