Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C8orf58 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C8orf58 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher C8orf58 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C8orf58 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and ESCA show a favorable association.

MESO, ACC, and UVM are the cancer types where C8orf58 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
