Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C8orf58 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C8orf58 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher C8orf58 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C8orf58 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LIHC, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where C8orf58 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
