Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C8orf37 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C8orf37 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher C8orf37 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C8orf37 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRC, LUAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where C8orf37 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
