Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C8orf33 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C8orf33 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher C8orf33 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C8orf33 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD and CHOL are the cancer types where C8orf33 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
