Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C8orf31 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C8orf31 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher C8orf31 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C8orf31 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LIHC, READ, and UCEC are the cancer types where C8orf31 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
