Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C6orf141 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of C6orf141’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where C6orf141 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types C6orf141 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, LUAD, and THCA are the cancer types where C6orf141 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
