Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C5orf24 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C5orf24 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher C5orf24 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C5orf24 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where C5orf24 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
