Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C5orf17 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C5orf17 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher C5orf17 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C5orf17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and KIRP are the cancer types where C5orf17 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
