Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher C5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, BLCA, and PRAD are the cancer types where C5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
