Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C4orf48 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C4orf48 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher C4orf48 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C4orf48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where C4orf48 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
