Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C4BPB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C4BPB data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher C4BPB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C4BPB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, COAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where C4BPB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
