Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C4B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C4B data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher C4B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C4B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC show a favorable association.
CESC, LUSC, and ACC are the cancer types where C4B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
