Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C4B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C4B data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher C4B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C4B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LSCC, UCEC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where C4B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
