Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C2orf42 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C2orf42 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher C2orf42 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C2orf42 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LIHC, BLCA, and ESCA are the cancer types where C2orf42 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
