Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C1orf198 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C1orf198 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher C1orf198 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C1orf198 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and GBM are the cancer types where C1orf198 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
